That's not really true, there are TONS of POS's that don't run MS systems at all. That includes every standalone portable POS system which there are a great many. Majority of small business don't use the large bloated POS systems you are referring to.

+1 I hear this all the time and make the same argument. I wish my fellow American's understood this.

I will probably be down voted but I don't care, I rarely ever bother posting anyhow. Celsius is convenient but not nearly precise enough for me. The whole argument of "it works just fine for everyone else" is irrelevant. I don't know how so many people are in favor of a scale of 0-100 for freezing to boiling compared to 32-212. A spread of 100 vs 180 is just easier rather than dealing with decimals or fractions of a degree.

I regularly say this to co-workers when I install software as small talk, even the paralegals agree they are completely ridiculous.

Logitech Wave, I've had a few others at the office switch to it and they've all been very pleased.

Our company has been using Safenet for the last year or so since we implemented 2FA for VPN and it has gone quite well. Being software based that can be loaded on laptops or smartphones makes it convenient and we don't have to worry about the tokens being lost and having to get a replacement out causing downtime. The downside is it can be locked out requiring some back and forth to unlock the token.

The Slashdot headline neglected to mention that they synthesized an embryo from adult human skin cells........
