There are plenty of Athlon CPUs and motherboards for sale on www.pricewatch.com. Tom's hardware recommends the FIC SD-11.

I'm waiting on the KX133 & the Athlon 800, however, you can get a good deal on an Athlon 500 right now, it's actually cheaper than a P3 500, and much better :)

SD-11's sell for around 150 now (+10 for shipping).
