Its not a question of equipment, or competence. Its a matter of hiring inexperienced temps for $9 an hour to do critical and specialized work. Almighty dollar rules the public sector as well as the cash cow private sector contractors that serve it. Its really sad that the ones who really dedicated their lives and pioneered the U.S. space program have long since been shunned.
