We are upstream of mail.com - I and my team here read (abuse|postmaster)@outblaze.com
The short answer would be "if we get complaints, we'll kill the stupid SOB's account". But first, we need to get complaints.
Some people are gullible enough to reply to the spammer directly - either asking him to "remove them", or maybe even giving him their bank accounts. That keeps happening. The idiot who fell for this scam to start this thread aint the first one, won't be the last.
Still others think it is nice fun baiting the scammer, telling him to hop on one foot wearing yellow striped jumpsuits (or whatever).
I'd really, really, love it if they just sent in a report (preferably with full headers) to my (or some other ISP's) abuse desk and let us kill the damn account already, instead of wasting time asking "why the fuck doesn't someone do something about this fucking stupid spammer" and starting "my spammer is stupider than yours" cascades on /. or nanae.
FWIW - The account mikeaba@mail.com was nuked, along with sundry other African bankers, engineers, attorneys, generals, relatives of dead dictators ... [only thing I haven't seen is a medium who claims she is in touch with the dead dictator's ghost, and he's told her where he's stashed all his $$$ before someone shot his ass off...]
