As much as I hate to admit, I am a talented weapons designer. The first thing I thought about when thinking of a conventional 'MAD' style peenemunde retaliatory base was banking a shitload of encrypted com modules for the "flying bomb" I designed. The first damn thing I thought of was a secure link. And our own military can't hack this? This is why I hate paying taxes. We should have the best but we fuck ourselves and let others fuck us. The fact that this 'type' of technology has existed since WWII tells us: 1.There's simply not as much intrigue or educated radicals as you might think. 2.Your money truly is being wasted.

I told you first Goofy and here it is, not more than a week after our argument on the "Ubuntu 9.04 on the Kindle" thread. In your face! Asus came through again!

Your right... I mainly want to display the RPG's I've downloaded. I just feel the book collection type that I have would be mostly incompatible. Thanks for remaining so very pleasant throughout this argument.

I've read peoples comments. Just like you, they don't realize that the books people want to display aren't just ASCII and have color. The tablet will prevail. Mark my words. On the subject of an eight hour battery life... If your gone for more than a day you probably packed your (LARGE) laptop with all the other stuff you need for an overnight stay. The one device philosophy would work the best in this case. Camping is the only thing I can think of... But who the hell would bring a Kindle to the Boundary waters?

Do not get a Nokia. I own a Nokia N800 and compared to the iphone it is absolute shit! I say this from experience, don't be fooled by the fact that it uses linux! Even with a terminal installed they are not that cool ( I have a fold out keyboard also and it still sucks) , unless the touchscreen is equivalent to what the ipod touch has. And I'm sure it is probably the same type of touch screen that the N800 has which is crap! IPOD is unmatch and will be for a while still!

Don't lie to yourselves, If I wanted to bomb Japan for shutting down my factory here in the states, I probably could do it. Infomagic developers kits were the shit! I got my first set in 1997 (Elvis) and started fiddling with redhat and debian and slackware. I ended up liking slackware the most. Linux comes with a shit tonne of development tools. I don't really care for ubuntu or fedora anymore and have gone back to slackware for my desktop. Because linux is more powerful from the command line! You should write your own scripts if you need and design your own systems...
