I used a temperature/humidity chamber designed for environmentally stress testing electronics when I did the freezer trick. This machine has holes for cables already, so it was pretty easy. I set the chamber to 2 deg. C (water to ice expansion would be bad if water is inside the drive) and a low relative humidity setting, turned the computer and drive on, and got the data off. Worked like a charm!

Surprisingly that ban didn't extend to the 10 titles of Science Fiction Grand Master Robert A. Heinlein that incorporate various themes of incest and pedophilia. Now, it seems that the censorship is expanding to m/m gay fiction if it contains the magic word 'rape' in the title. Just how far is this going to be allowed to proceed in relative silence, and who is pushing these sudden decisions on Amazon's part?"

Psychophrenes writes "A new episode in French internet legislation — French ministers have passed a bill (original in French) allowing the government to add any website to a black list, which access providers will have to enforce. This black list will be defined by the government only, without requiring the intervention of the legal system. Although originally intended against pedo-pornographic websites, this bill is already outdated, as was Hadopi in its time, and instead paves the way for a global censorship of the 'French internet.'"
