It's truly sad that people distance themselves more and more from the FSF and their ideas, because that makes it easier for businesses to accept GNU/Linux as an OS in its own right.
The fact is that noone probably has done more for the GNU/Linux community than RMS, but he doesn't get the credit he deserves because of his strong opinions.
In my opinion RMS should be acknowledged for all the work he has done, and is doing (giving speeches, making software, etc.).
Without RMS, we would all be using Windows (or OSX, or whatever) now. Scary isn't it?
