One of the fun things about multi-day rafting trips is you have space to take pretty much whatever you want. It's common for the beer rations alone to exceed 100 pounds. The weight can actually help the boat punch through large waves...or at least that's what we tell ourselves.
Lodge is awesome, though. I have the 6 qt enamel dutch oven for the kitchen, use it for bread, deep drying, soup, etc. Though I see it's now over $100!? Jeez, I bought it about 5 years ago for $50. Guess Walmart is good for something after all...
That's just Lodge's crazy MSRP. Amazon Prime has the enameled 6 qt for $45 with Prime shipping.
