Intro: It is those technologies built for the stupid. It came from Mac OS X an operating system built on top of a unix core for 2.5 year olds to be used. The problem Apple actually treats you as a 2.5 year old. As does microsoft with his operating system for lazy secretaries, and corporation that have more functionnaires than the soviet union ever had. Hence they need active directory to cripple everyone's computer in the corporation, ehm soviet kolkhoz.

Craze: We built a technological marvel into the linux kernel called ALSA, which does everything audio you ever wanted. But someone decided ALSA is to difficult to configure for a 2.5 year old so we put useless pulseaudio on top. This obsures the audio hardware, the 2.5 year old can change its volume without typing alsamixer, and for anyone who actually is reasonable or wants to write software complexity goes up by 5, because this is the way Microsofties see the world. They never built computers to compute, but for youtube watchers and idiots to make money from.

We had a unix system that called init ( whatever program you put there ) and you wrote a bunch of scripts to get your system started. But some crazed out apple engineer thought I need a new program, something crazed out. launched. Again this is so that the 2.5 year old mentally deranged self proclaimed artist who posts half nudes on instagram, typical mac user, with his mental disabilities can boot his mac. No one cares about clean engineering, about the simplicity for people actually using computers to solve differential equations that is lost.

From Hell: Diving deeper you find that it is common thing: That people like Miguel de Icaza who were also trying to destroy linux into a microsoft hell by porting things like C-sharp to linux, and building a desktop for the most dumb in the universe who are unable to configure their window managers.

IT idio-crazy: Basically all evil programmers from hell who want to de-intellectualize the world using computing resources in building interfaces for the dumb, in assaulting as such their user to be dumb, and finally in making everyone dumb end up at microsoft, together with apple the creator for and of the dumbness in our society. Building toys for the 2.5 year olds, handing them out to the masses, the workforce, the (useless) managers.

When being a Physics student we had exams where you could bring all the books, laptops, network stuff with you. In reality if you are unprepared all this stuff doesn't help you too. I think there is just no need to deny the use of network enabled devices at exams. What are you examining, the students ability to solve a real world problem or there capacity to memorize by heart? Make real exams and you would not even ask the question.

Well as former costumer of Telekom Austria who moved to France in 2007. I can tell you that the telecommunication market both mobile and fixed is extremly healty in Austria compared to other regions. Look to AT&T and the iphone struggle.. Here in France a usable Iphone contract is around 50 Euros.. in Austria it should be around 20 ? Fixed lines in France is a chaos, operators tell you you get 20 Mbit bandwith and give you 5 and there is no national ministry for work and client protection like in Austria that would punish companies selling fraudulent contracts.. Be happy to live where you are..
