Also IV acetaminophen isn't used because it's been rigorously proven to not work any better than oral acetaminophen, while being 10000X more expensive. It's primary legitimate use is for people who can't swallow pills for whatever reason (the extremely sick). But if you tell someone who is in terrible pain that they should take two acetaminophen and sleep it off, they will hate you - so they sometimes get IV acetaminophen to convince them that they're receiving some secret sauce. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/p...
