May I suggest P4X-650, I am sure that Stargate command would love to share their Alpha site. Although I haven’t personally visited the site yet, its flora would suggest it would have a climate like the one in BC Canada. Because I live in Washington, I have often visited BC and the climate is much better than Colorado’s.

Comment Cheaper To Flaunt Than Hide Your TV (Score 1) 34

If you want to hide the fact that you watch TV, wouldn’t it be cheaper to just add a secret chamber in your home? There are cheaper cabinets that can move the screen up when you watch it and down if you don’t want to see a blank screen. I intend to keep my TVs in full view and use a slide show or video wallpaper. There is no reason to hide a screen if you use it as a dynamic picture frame. I already have a virtual fish tank and picture gallery on my TVs. I am considering having multiples screens in one room to have pictures of family members or landscapes, just to make the room more interesting.

I first got introduced to Rankine by a mechanical engineer at Boeing who couldn't believe even an EE didn't know what it was. Tried to get millibars introduced on the same project and got shot down right away.

By the way, it is just noon and 45 degrees already in Maple Valley (near Seattle).

As to using Linux GUI for development, notepad++ and VS Studio and VS Code easier to use than the Linux tools.

For those of us that are comfortable with PowerShell and using *nix binaries within the command line and prefer MS windows terminal to GNOME Terminal. What’s the point?

I just looked up my usage on Comcast (https://customer.xfinity.com/#/services/internet#usage) and found a bar chart for the last 3 months. I have used less than 30% of my 1.2 TB allowance. I also can get usage since May in table format. Most of my TV watching is through the internet as I only use the TV for news. Some of the shows are in 4K, so how is it possible to use your 1.2 TB without being on the far right of the bell curve?

Nice informative update. I find the Speaker of the United States House, Nancy Patricia Pelosi almost as bad. She may have been on our side this time but still find her a hindrance to good government. I still believe that congress (both houses) the problem. You already have 5 votes (informative) or I would vote you up.

We tried that in Washington state. Our state passed a law that ended the switch from daylight savings time to standard time. The problem was the US congress had to approve the law. Our state’s legislature should have made standard time permanent, which would have worked without the US congress. As long as we have to depend on governments that refuse to fix problems that distract from supporting special interest, there is no fix.
