Why PBS Won't Do Android 331

bogaboga writes "You might be wondering why the U.S. Public Broadcasting Service doesn't have a compelling Android footprint. I was wondering too; until they provided the answer. They say, 'Simply put, it’s too complicated for us to even consider an Android app for the first version; we’ll continue to support those viewers with mobile web. ... As we’re focused on the tablet for this project, we’re only designing for the larger screen sizes. But even there, there are a wide range of sizes and aspect ratios. It’s possible to build flexible sizing for these screen layouts, just as we do for the range of desktop web screen sizes. But the flip side to these wide variations is that in a touch experience, ergonomics plays an important role in the design. Navigational elements need to be within easy reach of the edges of the screens since people often are holding their tablets. If the experience is not fine-tuned to each variation the experience would suffer.' They also cite fragmentation. I'm left wondering whether they didn't find support for various screen sizes on Android developer website. Their budget is undoubtedly limited; are their concerns legit? What companies and organizations have developed Android applications that are good to work with on various screen sizes?"

This is really an announced old projection of the far-off time event by the Discovery cable program and of some cleaner program of Dirty Jobs Mike Rowe himself about the universe. He and us won't be around to enjoy him announce the initial itchy and chocking dust and 'maybe' the have the final series ender of his "Dirty Jobs" leading to our passing to face-off Andromeda's lock of snaky hair.

Take your time, Earthlings!!

Try the primary lines of about 14kilovolts which have no insulation. You'll need high-voltage gear and a distribution transformer and it's better if the method of capture is automated coming from a van. The isolated 230-kilovolt transmission lines will be more challenging.

Local crooks in PH have tried stealing the primary lines and hung dead on the spot. They don't cost much since there will never be copper. The transformers are bigger deals but they're not only electrically hot, they're really hot and heavy.

We should try taking on lightning while nobody still stakes a claim on it.

Adobe Security Updates For Flash and Shockwave 58

nlewis writes "Adobe has finally released updates for their Flash and Shockwave Players. These updates should, in theory, address the security issues outlined in this security bulletin. This issue has been mentioned here previously. Don't expect an update to the equally flawed Acrobat Reader until sometime tomorrow, though."
