I find it telling that everyone here focuses on the technology. You should be focussing on being a good manager, building your management, leadership and recruiting skills. 80% of staff leave because if their manager, only 20% for other reasons, so treat it with the same passion and requirements as you did becoming a lead technical person. With the right skills, finding a good person is easier, developing is easier, their likelihood of leaving is less, and you can be a more valuable asset to the organisation that you work for. And yes, I was a high end technical guy. I still have a lot of tech at home, and play there. And keep the technical staff I work with honest, but I trust them to do their jobs.
