Commodore Returns with New Gaming PCs 281

JamesO writes "Commodore is a name which will bring memories flooding back to many a gamer and it's been announced that the legendary brand is to return with a new range of high specification gaming PCs. The new Commodore PCs optimized for gaming will be launched at the CeBIT show in Germany on March 15 and attendees will be offered the chance to play the latest PC games using the purpose-built PCs."

NVIDIA releases world's first DX10 compatible unified-shader workstation graphics based on the G80 architecture. The new card displaces the Quadro FX 5500 as the top card for workstation and professional users. Featuring up to 1.5 GB of high-speed DDR3 RAM, support for NVIDIA's CUDA GPGPU solution and a Graphics bandwidth of 76.8 GB/s, it's certainly going to appeal to CG designers and CAD users. SeaDour writes "The Cassini spacecraft has recently entered a highly-inclined orbit around Saturn, revealing some never-before-seen images of the planet's ring system as seen from above and below the planet. 'Sailing high above Saturn and seeing the rings spread out beneath us like a giant, copper medallion is like exploring an alien world we've never seen before. It just doesn't look like the same place. It's so utterly breath-taking, it almost gives you vertigo.' The spacecraft will eventually return to its standard orbit parallel to the ring plane in late June."
