The U.S., while claiming to be a Democracy, was set up as a Republic. Now, the idea behind our Freedoms, was that you could become whatever you felt you had the capability to become! And initially, once King George's yoke was overthrown and the States were set up. Taxes were collected from businesses and worker earnings in order to build & improve the country as benefits for the population. However, it got off track and has gotten worse and worse. GREED has taken over, Started by individual business owners and Politicians that the voters elected, by not paying attention as to who they elected! Now, the Republic is diminishing, bit by bit & Socialism is taking over, cleverly installed by Big Business & the Politicians that they own! Because the ultimate benefits, Power & Money, have become their goal.Legislation is aimed at major business avoiding taxes & allowing them to take over smaller businesses or to eliminate those that threaten competition, aided in large part by the Politicians owned by them.

You get the INTERNET, thru your SERVER, DSL or WIFI provider, in practice the "net" itself is Free. This just goes to show, that Assholes like 'HARRY REID' & others of the same ilk, make laws about things they don't even understand. The reality is that the "Congress/. SENATE should have to pass a University exam on whichever subject they decide to make legislature about. Failures should be thrownout of either Congress or Senate, then maybe we would end up with an INTELIGENT Gov't!!

gosgog: What bother's me is, that despite the various things that have come along to keep grounding the F-35, it, according to articles I have read in Business Inquirer, is the fact that thus far, even if flying, it wont come close to doing all the things it is designed to do, and now costs 3, yes three times as much money to produce! Other items, that bother me, is its ONE COMPANY that is the producer! YEAH I KNOW as the Astronauts, always said "Here we are in Outer Space and and everything's on LOWEST BID!" Well it seems to me there are a number of things wrong here, This Giant Corporation is so deep into the pockets of those "Wunnerful Politicians", plus Military authorities assigned to work with the supplier, are then hired on retirement by said corporation...so each assignment becomes a career! And also the history of so many items that are designed to do everything...are seldom as good as those things designed to do a specific function!

VOLUME is why.....there are 360 + million people in the U.S., and there is more competition, mostly in manufacturing, plus retailing, so tho' you sell for less, there's a hell of a lot more sales to be made, so plus dollars to be earned. Of course transportation costs are all part of the factor. Now, there's more Chinese and Indians anywhere else in the world, so greater volume. However, under a country (communism) where the Government controls virtually everything, they can to some extent control pricing, but that also creates black market knockoffs! Here in the Philippines, certainly in provincial towns and I'm sure also to some extent in Manila, the vast majority of the general public buying in the computer world, are not paying Microsoft and other software prices, PIRACY thrives! Off course Linux & Ubuntu stuff is free, except hardware, & most of the comes in from China (Family trade thrives here!).

gosgog: Good ,although I long since left MSN, most of the little kids around here are always pointing at screens & we don't need their dirty finger prints on either monitors or the big TV screen.

I originally listed myself in Facebook some years back because those around me said it was interesting, however, I find it to be more annoying than interesting. But..my kids, my grankids, my adopted family and kids all seem to spend time constantly with it. I'm busy using the net for other things so I don't spend enough time with it to really understand it and those hundreds & hundreds of folks who all seem to want to be friends....well I wish I could easily dump them with one click. I use it only to check who from my family, relatives and friends that are showing up in my email for various reasons. I thought of dumping out of it, but because they're in it I haven't and I guess I'm apologizing for not going to it frequently enough, but time is a major factor for me and I'm not really sure nowadays what I'm doing with it!
