By your definition, Android is also an OpenBSD/Linux with a repaint since they're both based off of a Linux kernel. HarmonyOS actually went one step further to support both its native apps and Android apps. So if you think that they're a copycat. Then they're probably a better copycat than Android. And if you really want "homegrown", then wait for HarmonyOS NEXT that's coming out in a few months. They won't be using the Linux kernel there.
