So far this year, I have had AI write nearly 2 million lines of code on about 50 projects. I think about 20% has been unit tests. From Image readers/writers to Document readers/writers, to programmer assistant tools. Ideas I have had for years... but either didn't have the time or got stuck partway through. The improvements in the models are noticeable even from the start of the year - going back over them with the latest models can bring further significant improvements to them. I have somewhat looked at the code... and often built it in distinct parts which has allowed me to control the way the AI designs things somewhat.

I do worry that the AI companies will significantly raise their prices, or go broke, which is why I have been working on tools that both AI and myself can use and make significant productivity enhancements.

Well you cant have anything without an algorithmic feed. Even sorting things by date is an algorithm. I think they feel that what they are doing will improve things.... but I believe what it will do is end up doing is putting people even more into separate silos - where people with people different views don't communicate with each other thereby creating even more division which they were trying to prevent.

I would argue Windows 11 is worse than windows 95. Windows 95 was at least trying to be the best it could be. Windows 11 is a tool for Microsoft to get data about you and sell stuff to you.

As for saying the schools perform sex changes, they do - many schools have "gender affirming closets", where they allow students to change into closing associated with the opposite sex and be called a different name - all without the parents knowledge or permission. The school and the teachers are not trained psychologists and do not have to deal with the harm that they do.

Well I don't think anyone who knew Mozilla, knew it as a activist firm. It was a non profit technology organization, given $500 million a year by google. The activists came in when they saw all that money. Now the people who would have supported them are going to think hard about whether supporting an organization that isn't doing what it was started and known for is a good idea.

I was more thinking... We can't compete in these other markets - because they have it all worked out, so we will concentrate on the democratic countries so we can turn them into authoritarian hell holes as well!
