Alternative to CDDB protocol (Score 1)

Excellent idea. I've been digging into XML over the past few weeks, and this is a perfect application for it. Make XML the canonical form for storing the data. All other formats are translated from XML. For example, it would be a snap to write Java servlet that read the XML and returned the info in CDDB format. Ok, we need an XML DTD tailored for CD data.
