The problem with random walkers and the internet is hidden in the text "Random walkers are going to end up at the well connected nodes". Its the same problem that complicates search agents like those used by google...they always end up at the websites or nodes which have a large number of links to them. On one hand, random messages instead of flooding decreases the traffic load. However, it probably is as bad as gnutella w.r.t searching for infrequent files.
