While I agree with your general premise that 3D doesn't really work because your eye & brain know that the "3D", well, isn't, the main problem with Avatar, IMHO, was that it was an unfathomably shitty story. Three-dimensional images, one-dimensional characters.

You're probably right. I bought a MacBook last year (having used Debian for the last 9 years), and while I don't dislike it, I'm not keen to buy more Apple products given dumb shenanigans like this. So they are alienating some users.

Bridging a few pins to power or ground rails with some not-entirely pure water can and does damage ASICs. Why are you being so smug about it, anyway?

Survived no problem. I later noticed that only 1 of the 5 chassis screws was still in place and never bothered to fix it. Ran for months afterward and I eventually bought an HTC Magic.
