Submission + - British citizen to be extradited to the US over hacking US Army, FBI, NASA, etc (sky.com)

ganesh.rao writes: Sky News reports that Lauri Love will be extradited to the United States to face computer hacking charges after Britain's Home Secretary signed the order.

The 31-year-old is alleged to have stolen large amounts of data from the US Army, the Federal Reserve, the Department of Defence, Nasa and the FBI in 2012 and 2013.

A Home Office Spokesperson said: "On Monday 14 November, the Secretary of State, having carefully considered all relevant matters, signed an order for Lauri Love's extradition to the United States.

"Mr Love has been charged with various computer hacking offences which include targeting US military and federal government agencies."

If he is found guilty, Mr Love's lawyers say he could be facing a sentence of up to 99 years in prison.

Submission + - Host Europe could be sold for £1.3bn (sky.com)

ganesh.rao writes: Two of Europe's biggest providers of web hosting services are teaming up with private equity groups in a bid to win control of a British-based Host Europe, potentially valued at more than £1bn. Sky News is reporting that Strato, which is owned by the German Deutsche Telekom, is working on a joint bid. Separately, United Internet, a German internet services manager, is expected to submit an offer ahead of a deadline next month.
Host Europe is owned by Cinven, another private equity firm, and is expected to be valued at well over £1bn and possibly as much as £1.3bn, according to earlier reports.

Submission + - US court drops charges against Indian diplomat, reducing tensions

ganesh.rao writes: New Delhi welcomed the favourable decision by a US court to drop charges against the Indian diplomat, Devyani Khobragade, who was charged last year in New York for visa fraud and making false statements about her domestic worker's wages to the US government. The federal judge ruled that the diplomat had immunity at the time of her indictment and hence dismissed the case. However, the ruling on Wednesday could potentially allow prosecutors to bring in new charges if they choose to do so. It would now be safe for the former diplomat to travel to the US to be with her American husband and children.

Correct me if I'm wrong... Poland broke away and became independent from Russia during the Russian Civil War.

Poland's east was Russia. West is Germany.

"In the chaos to the east the Polish forces set out to expand there as much as feasible... "

That statement reads to me as though Polish forces tried to capitalise on the mayhem in Russia and took advantage of the situation.

When did Poland ever try to conquer Russia? It's the other way around. They've been subjugated by Russian rule numerous times.

If you were not indoctrinated into a specific school of thought, you would not have asked that ignorant question.

OP was referring to the most recent war before Soviet Russia invaded Poland for the last time.

To bad for you, the world doesn't look at India's satellite-rockets as an ICBM military program, when the level of threat is far below any country on the planet. India has never invaded another country in over a millennia. It is the only country to be supplied by NSG whilst not having signed the NPT. Any takers?

Through out last year there was the big hype of Bulgarian and Romanian immigration wave from Jan 1, 2014. It is 2014 now, where has all the hype gone? Barely an article or two a month now compared to the twice weekly in 2013.

This sort of thing cultivates racism. IMO.

You still haven't made one useful point in all your posts in this thread. You've simply accused the government yet not offered a single solution. You've accused me of being an outsider, yet you disgrace yourself of being an Indian. You apparently aren't educated at all, did you just finish school?

Again I ask you, where are you and what background do you have with anything related to policies of this country?

Do you really know what it takes to run the government of the largest democracy? You just seem like a kid blaming the government for all your personal short comings.

Let me know when you have something useful to contribute.
