I challenge anyone to propose a plan for how they would win the conflict in an urban area more ethically than how Israel has done it. They still do not occupy the entirety of the strip and do not have all the hostages back. Being somewhat knowledgeable about warfare myself, I do not know how any military anywhere could do it more ethically than they have so far. People simply do not understand urban warfare. It was the same when Iraq took Mosul in 2017 with the benefit there being places for civilians to go. Egypt wants nothing to do with the Gazans. The Doha attack might have been a bit too far but that's a question of sovereignty over war crimes.

They also need to wear uniforms to be considered completely safe for the protections under the Geneva Conventions.
