Gmail has a similar undocumented feature.
Simply give a gmail address like so when asked for email : [e-mail]

The important part is the +extension. If you then notice lots of spam coming to [e-mail], simply set up a filter to delete all email addressed to that address.

The only problem with it is email validation scripts sometimes complain about the plus...
