It makes no difference even if you're white but not American as the above story shows. I don't see why anyone would risk visiting the US, period, White or not.
I use it all the time for TVs and lamps. For the lamp, it's in inconvenient location in the bedroom but it's easy to tell Google to turn it off as I exit from the adjoined bathroom. The TV because my son never remembers to turn it off when he goes dinner so I just turn it off from the dinner table instead needing to run to the family room.

Did you ever try lowering the compression quality in 7zip to compare? It's natural that a smaller compressed size takes longer, but one is able to adjust this trade off.
Probably passwords, which could be harmful if people reuse them. Aren't there also people who pay them? So probably also credit card numbers and other personal info.
