Journal: A newbie's first entry (30March03)

Been into linux for all of two weeks, and I'm love already. Of course, I haven't gotten a damned thing to work right that isn't automated by my SuSE 8.1 distro (not to mention about half of the stuff that is), but hey, that's all part of the massochistic fun, right?
