Inaneness aside, might we distinguish between hiding versus protecting information? It would seem that he [the aforementioned RMS] did not feel the necessity to Hide his information from being viewed by public eyes, but discovered the necessity to protect his information from being 'made not available for' public viewing; (translate as: deleted from).
