I would just tell them that Jamendo says your license with them also covers licensing from each owner of the music and the song writers. If they have any problems, just have tell you which song is in violation and then forward it on to Jamendo, so that they can remove the song from their database or get the license. The relevant parts from their website are: "No public performance music licenses needed (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, etc)!" http://pro.jamendo.com/en/product/background "Can I post my music on jamendo if I am a member of a collective rights society? Unfortunately, no. Most contracts established by collective rights societies are exclusive and therefore don't allow artists to give away their music for free on the internet." "Can I publish a cover of a song I didn't write? No you can't. Except if the original song was published under a Creative Commons license and that you respect that license. If the original composer did not choose this type of license, you cannot publish a cover of the song under Creative Commons because you do not hold the rights to the song." http://www.jamendo.com/en/faq

I'd also like to mention http://www.av-comparatives.org/ which seems to be very thorough in their tests, and gives good explanations of their graphs. Their research includes thousands of viruses, worms, malware, and legitimate software to calculate virus detection rate vs false positive rate. They also do some speed calculations, for those interested.

Submission + - Valve Releases Recent Hardware Survey Results

Freastro writes: Last week, Valve reset their on-going Hardware Survey in order to "keep on top of what kind of hardware everyone out there is running." Little has changed statistically since their first 200,000 responses, and it gives some interesting insight into what hardware and versions of Windows people are actually running. Their news article gives the following statistics and the full results can be found on their Valve Survey Summary page:
  • Just over 1% of respondents can run a DX10 path for graphics.
  • About 78% of you have microphones plugged in for voice communication. This will help you out a lot in TF2.
  • A little under 5% of you have upgraded to Vista.
  • Around 20% of your PCs are running multiple CPU cores.
