The European "Parliament" has no real power. It wasn't even allowed to properly select the President of the EU Commission. It was given a list of one candidate.

You clearly don't actually understand how the EU works. The laws are created by the EU Commission, which isn't voted in by the people of the EU. Even when the EU's own audit body found the Commission to be thoroughly corrupt (the Santer Commission), there was nothing that could be done.

France and Germany have actually been supporting Russia: France sending military equipment to Russia until a few weeks ago and Germany blocking equipment from Ukraine. As well EU member states have been continuing to send vast sums of money to Russia, effectively funding the slaughter.
