I have a Sony z505sx from 1999 that is still running quite strong. I've had to replace four things on it over the years - the battery, hard drive (went to flash after the second died), keyboard (left cntrl got overworked and fell off) and the phone jack (I yanked it off with my foot... oops).

Would I buy Sony today? No, very unlikely.
