to make this clearer: i wouldn't quite call the Dems a left-wing party. nor are they repesenting left-wing views. to my understanding, politicians regulating the free market in favour of Big Money should be called right-wing. to make this clear, too: in that actual german case the rightists want to regulate media in favour of arms manufacturers.
