I believe that was partly answered by Arthure C Clarke. The whole monolith on the moon thing. Just bury your wiz bang artifacts on the moon. Also I believe the sattalites can wait around forever in lagrange (sp?) points.

The Linux Action Show in episode s16e10 describes how to ditch Google Docs, gmail, etc. I believe they continue with the project in s17e02

This requires your own server though. But it's all linux based softwares. Pretty cool episode. YMMV....

Aquaria Goes Open Source 58

A post on the Wolfire blog yesterday announced that the source code for Aquaria has now been released. Aquaria, an action-adventure, underwater sidescroller from Bit Blot, was part of the Humble Indie Bundle, which was so successful that the developers of four games pledged to release them as open source. This marks the final release, following Lugaru, Gish, and Penumbra: Overture. The source code is available from a Mercurial repository.
