Now I know you asked for Anti-virus, and for that, I recommend Avast! Free anti-virus. Windows Defender, or Security Essentials is fine if you're pretty damn careful with your downloads, Now along with Avast, Malwarebytes is the BEST and I mean ranked THE most reliable and up to date anti-malware software available, and it's on CNET as well as their website, which I think links to cnet...
