Yeah... I haven't touched a pa-risc workstation since '96, but the systems were pretty sharp at the time. HP-UX was always sort of just okay. Still, I feel for the guy and have a fondness for the systems. For context, I was doing most of my work on a Sun with 2GB of RAM, which at the time was insane. I had a ridiculously over-speced dual pentium desktop for running linux so I could edit code in emacs, but ran my code on the Sun -- which of course sat in my pointy haired boss's office so he could check his email. Yes, this was working for the DoD.

Order more dildos! The first one is something they should have thought about. I feel like we had a superbowl ad that did exactly this (not the dildos, but the mass activation). If you're going to wear a powerful computer on your face, other people shouldn't be able to give it commands. The second? You can't have a race condition with a person and a computer. I mean, you can, but *very* rarely. The odds of a real race occurring in an already failing demo seem very low and really stretch the definition of "race."

The subtitles have brought so many new things to my attention. Also, the music descriptors are great: "Dark," "Sinister," "Intriguing." Netflix is obviously going to fill any niche it finds available, but I enjoy the current subtitles. Also, I follow the Santa Barbara Zoo on Instagram (@santabarbarazoo) and they always post an Alt-text for all their posts in the caption -- and they often rival the photos. I guess the point is that, done well, these additional feeds can add value even to those who don't strictly need them. But, for those who do, I'm glad that some content producers take them seriously.

But even still, the government receives all my tax information from 3rd parties. Everything that I file individually, has already been seen as a 1099, k-1, or w2. There is the foreign account form you have to file, but that info may or may not have been provided to them depending on the country. Still, even in this degenerate case, they could provide a summary to you that you could work from. Instead, you get nothing. Certainly for the modal case where you have *a* job and get a w2 you could just get a simple bill to start from. The fact that you don't is merely because of the lobbying power of the tax filing services. This seems like an easy, bi-partisan win for whoever makes the change. It's just a matter of convincing all of the paid for congress-people to vote for it.

Easy enough to skip those pages. Cloudflare is obviously so big that ai bots will adapt to its specific strategies. This would work well for a single site, but not for all of their customers. Also, I hope we're close to the point we can admit that the bots can identify squares that contain a traffic light (motorcycle, staircase) as well as me.
