This is the silliest of false dichotomies. It's not a luxury because it's so widely and cheaply available. It's not a human right because it's a proper commodity like everything else. Not everything that is desirable is a human right.

Exactly. Given the question would you rather work for a) a jerk who is always right or b) a nice person who is always wrong, i'd pencil in: c) a nice person who is occasionally wrong. Otherwise, it's a false dichotomy.

I agree. In fact, even if you don't have a system as such, simply using the line "it's in my queue", or giving them a time slot -- "you're scheduled between 2-3" -- is helpful.
