I also don't recall any mention of Dwarf tossing by Aragorn. I found that utterly silly. I'm guessing that Gimli wieghed a good buck-sixty sans mail. With the mail and the the axe I'd put him at about 260 lbs. maybe more. I would doubt Aragorn could throw him 5ft. let alone the 10 to 15 feet that the moat spanned.
There was one and only one elf at Helm's Deep, Eomer was there the entire battle and it was the Ents and the Hourons that should up with Gandalf to turn the tide of the battle.
The entire bit with the ents was so wrong it was stupid. How the hell wouldn't the ents know that Sauron was clear cutting Fangorn, they were as in harmony with Fangorn as Tom Bombadil was with the Old Forest. Oh, almost forgot there is no Tom Bombadil. So Treebeard sees the clear cutting around Isengard after walking with the hobbits for what seems like quite awhile and then instead of calling another moot he lets out a friggen yodel and dozens of ents suddenly appear from the treeline ready to turn Isengard to rubble.
There was so much more that was wrong with this movie. While it was a wonderful job of custumes and special effects, Tolkien's "Two Towers" it was not. If the advertising would have indicated that it was inspired by the "Two Towers" I would have been much more satisfied.
