The fact that "Microsoft" can be spoofed by replacing up to five of its letters with Cyrillic lookalikes is *not* a fault of Unicode. Unicode seeks to encode all of the world's writing systems. That there is glyphic similarity between Latin letter o, Cyrillic letter o, Greek letter omicron, and Myanmar letter wa is an accident of that cultural abundance. Bashing Unicode for this "security flaw" is, hm, shall I say, pernicious, and attacks the Good Guys, not the Bad.
