Actually, George W. Bush's I.Q. score is 129 which is higher than John F. Kennedy's I.Q. of 119. George W. Bush could not speak with clarify to save his life but that doesn't mean he was "dumb." A study (cannot find the source, right now) that I have seen said that intelligent people (high on the bell curve) tend to not connect with voters well.

Submission + - SPAM: Google to End Support for IE6

itwbennett writes: Google announced Friday that it will be phasing out support for Internet Explorer 6, more than two weeks after the attacks on Google's servers that targeted a vulnerability in IE 6. In a blog post, Rajen Sheth, Google Apps senior product manager, said that support for IE6 in Google Docs and Google Sites will end March 1. At that point, IE6 users who try to access Docs or Sites may find that 'key functionality' won't work properly, he said. Sheth suggested that customers upgrade their browsers to pretty much anything else.

shmG writes: As state legislators across the United States enact laws that ban phoning and texting while driving, a new study is showing no reductions in crashes after hand-held phone bans take effect.

Comparing insurance claims for crash damage in 4 US jurisdictions before and after such bans, The Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI) researchers find claim rates are comparable with nearby jurisdictions without such bans.

Submission + - Ubuntu switches default Firefox search to Yahoo (ubuntu.com)

An anonymous reader writes: Starting in Lucid, the default search engine for Firefox will be switched from Google to Yahoo. The switch has been made after Canonical "negotiated a revenue sharing deal with Yahoo!". Google will still be available as a choice. Since Yahoo search is now powered by Microsoft's Bing, does this mean Microsoft will be paying people for using Ubuntu?

I believe a group of people boycotted their government a while back. They were not all thrown in jail, in fact I believe most of them are now referred to as the founding fathers of the United States of America.

The winners always get to write history. If the founding fathers of the USA were to have lost the revolution, they would have been quartered.
