Swingline did actually produce a run of red stapelers at one point. I've got one in my desk that I inherited from someone who resigned from corporate life to become a Minister.
While it doesn't exactly fit the movie reference, but I find it amusing. The one I inherited is metal, but a slightly darker red as opposed to the bright red from the move.
