Quality of crafted software (Score 1)

It seems to me where this book really falls down is here: whereas developers will always think of software development as an art, project sponsors do not. They have no way to place value on the quality of a system, including ease of maintenance and extension. This differs from other disciplines which are considered crafts, since consumers differentiate quality there.
