I'm curious as to where you'd draw the line? You seem to be saying that the time and money savings are a worthy trade-off for your dignity. I'm not rich and I won't fly. I'll spend the extra money and time to drive because what the TSA is doing is wrong (and a joke). You said that the above poster is "looking down" on you for flying, but I had the same question: Why would you submit to the degradation and bullshit? So I appreciate them asking the question because I had it too. And I appreciate hearing your answer.

No citation for the "FBI statistics" because it is a completely bogus claim. If I am wrong, please link to the FBI statistics directly in order that I should become educated. *spoiler alert* No link will be posted. However, you will find plenty of fake news article links that have twisted the stats to support their agenda.

Your ignorance can only be matched by your arrogance. Assuming that this is ignorance and not an intentional twisting of the truth, I'll try to help you understand: The passage in Deuteronomy that you reference is part of what's know as the "old covenant." https://www.gotquestions.org/o... I see what you're trying to do there with the Matthew reference, and I think you know that you're misleading others. If you really don't know, you can educate yourself here: https://www.gci.org/bible/matt... First thing that pops up in a search - not hard to find.

And the American public who votes them in has never been an informed electorate.

Not entirely true. For the first 100-some years of America's existence voting participation was nearly 100%. It is only in the last 100 years that this changed. We used to be an informed electorate. I agree that we aren't now.

Comment The average user still needs AV (Score 4, Interesting) 352

I don't use AV, but the average person still needs it. The average person either doesn't know or doesn't care what they are clicking on. As part of a layered defense strategy for the average user, it is still needed. Personally, I don't like AV stealing my CPU cycles. I use other methods, common sense chief amongst them, to prevent infection.
