I too, was blown away by the 'good old' TechTV, as almost every show on it was really good. The G4 people are talentless and all completely suck. X-Play would be watchable if only it weren't for those annoying jokes during game reviews.
The "horny teen poser network" is quite apt.
BTW: Kate Botello left to pursue her career on Broadway.
