Comment Just for legit robocalls (Score 1) 88

IMO, this new law will only work for legit business. Scammers especially the ones who originated from foreign countries will never care about this law. I also read an article related to this problem at https://www.whycall.me/news/co.... This might be helpful for anyone who get many robocalls from legit businesses.

Comment Not for me, actually (Score 1) 113

Well, I don't think I receive many robocalls from them in these past few months. Maybe because I never answer any calls from them. I usually choose to just ignore them. Sometimes I look up the numbers on Google or some complaint boards like http://whycall.me/ before I block them. I never talk to them or call them back. Hope this helps people who get many spam calls.

I have also read a nice solution for this problem at https://www.whycall.me/news/co... ; Suing the callers (of course if they are coming from legit businesses). If we all sue those spammers, they will run out of money and stop calling us using robocalls by themselves.

Comment tools (Score 1) 33

I think spam lookup tools have been exist on the web since years ago. Well, not all of them are perfect, but I personally find them very useful for our preventing tools. I also find an interesting article that talks about robocalls at https://www.whycall.me/news/co.... People might find this useful, especially the ones that get many robocalls from legit businesses.
