But doesn't address the elephant in the room, and it is the fact that poorer countries (like Costa Rica and Canada in this hemisphere) and 39 countries in total (out of 195) were achieving better expectancy of life than the USA (before Covid). I clarify - before Covid - because the numbers provided in the reference are from 2019. It doesn't mean that the situation has changed.
