Feed Engadget: Nissan GT-R disables speed limiter on race tracks via GPS (engadget.com)

We know auto enthusiasts are never too stoked when it comes to contending with those pesky government-mandated speed limiters, but a bit of encouraging news on that front incoming from Japan (as usual). The Japanese Nissan GT-R, street limited to a pedestrian 111mph, can apparently use its built-in GPS unit to detect Japanese race circuits and disable its speed limiter accordingly.
