Journal echeslack's Journal: GMail accounts for freeipods.com referrals 4
Everybody's doing it. You know you want to too. Start on your way to a free iPod or iPod mini by helping me get one! Also, the first 4 people to sign up with my link and complete an offer (I'm told stamps.com and the AOL ones are good) will get a GMail invite sent to the address they use to sign up. It's that easy. When I have my links, I will post a notice and then will be happy to post other's referral links to help them out.
So please visit freeipods.com and sign up and you will receive your invite within 24 hours of completion of an offer.
Note: If people sign up too quickly, I may not react fast enough (I have to sleep!) so beware that it is possible for me to run out of GMail invites. If this occurs, I will send them as soon as I get more.

Waiting (Score:2)
It seems that gratis, the company behind free ipods has been waiting to ship orders until they get more referrals. I don't know if this is a sign that they are in trouble or just a coincidence.
The terms of usage at freeipods.com says that they don't even have to send you a free ipod. Theoretically, they could wait until a bunch of referrals come in, string you along while you are

Well, I would normally be concerned, but so many people have received theirs that I'm not worried. And its not like I'm out any money. Well, I am because I chose an offer I was actually interested in, but I actually saved money by doing it through freeipods.com. So either way I win.
Although I could see advertisers dropping out being a definite problem if they are not getting the retention rate they want...
