In related news, BJ's Wholesale Club, an east-coast warehouse chain, is dropping HD-DVD entirely from its stores, though it will also continue offering both formats via its website. Finally, the Japanese adult film industry has effectively settled on Blu-ray as its HD format of choice, after receiving indirect support from Sony.
earbenT writes: Executive vice president and former ATI president and CEO Dave Ortonhas resigned from AMD effective at the end of July. He will be replaced by his two immediate successors in the graphics and consumer electronics divisions, Adrian Hartog and Rick Bergman.
