I think they could very well have just not change their practices (because/if they were conpliant with non discriminatory federal law).
The problem is the clawback clause. Even if you end up winning in court, fighting the US gov could be a very costly proposition.

And in the same manner, Liberals attack Conservatives where they dont have good, clear answers (say abortion or guns).
Well said. What has been promoted for the last 15 years is discriminatory, racist, segregationist, and sets us way back.

Fair enough. When Iraq and Iran where going at it (in the 80s), the US supported Iraq and Saddam against Khomeini. Was that the wrong move? And then Saddam turned out to be evil. What's one to do?
