MA! GET THE CAMERA! I'M FAMOUS! So, the issue is that if you have the "Filter bad links" thing turned on, the filtering only works in Edge. To stop the kids from getting around this, it automatically blocks the other browsers. Microsoft changing it was actually just "fixing a bug", as Chrome was always supposed to be blocked. Anyway, it was annoying and having to tell students to go tell their parents that they have to log in to their family account thing and change the settings and that they can only use MS Edge for the day is just annoying.

Would be great to have something that's easy to setup where you can throw a video/Window/OBS stream at it then use a low powered device at the other end (rPi or old PC) over wifi to play video with minimal latency without all the farting around or high cost that there is with existing solutions (So, NDI, but with more compression so it fits over wifi and not the cost of NDI....)

Australia has an online thing called etax, it lets you pre-fill almost all your data, all your employers are prefilled, health fund stuff is prefilled and even interest from your bank accounts (assuming you provided your bank with your tax file number). For people with simple tax needs (a normal job or two, maybe a few deductions for stuff you bought for work etc), it takes maybe 15minutes to do your tax. For people with more complicated tax needs it does take a bit longer, but it's still pretty quick.

Here you go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_table
In short: It's a precomputed set of hashes, you can spend as long as you like generating the hashes beforehand and putting them into the rainbow table, then when it comes time to crack the password you just match the hash up with the one you've hacked. Of course, if they're salted or using a different method to generate the hash than your rainbow table, you're screwed :P

I like the idea of a simple serial number that phones home, but doesn't require to phone home to work. This way you can track installs for each serial, but requires human intervention to do anything about it. (EG. Someone installs your software on their 5 machines at home, no worries.. Someone shares their serial all over the net and you end up with 100+ installs on the one number, then you start to worry about it and work a way to deactivate the program).

Someone steals your car every night and drives it around, you're not aware of the problem, however someone sees people driving your car and throwing shit at people and lets the police know. The police then pass on the information to you saying "Why is your car out there throwing shit at people at night?"

It is up to you to make sure that your car is properly locked and secured at night, so people can't steal it and take it for joyrides.

Is that a better analogy?

I've got an i7-920, it's not exactly the fastest cpu on the planet, but it's still pretty tough. I get down to 15FPS in big battles, even Crysis 2 on max everything still sits at >50fps. I've tried turning all the settings down, unparking cores, overclocking.

All the while, my CPU usage is below 25%. The game is poorly optimised. When they fix the optimisation issues I'm going to play it more.

FPS issues aside, it's a glorious game, and there's nothing more fun than rolling along with 2-3 platoons (>80 people) and having a huge line of tanks to take out the enemy. The guns aren't *that* hard to get certs to buy (if you don't want to pay any money), though each gun being like $7-10 each is kind of expensive, I would think that $2-3 each would be more reasonable.

That is the problem I have with micro transactions in games, there is NOTHING micro about it. You can play for free... you just will die a lot unable to kill others because your gun does half the damage. If your lucky.

It's really not that bad, without paying for anything I consistently have a KD Ratio over 1:1. I don't find myself getting rocked by pro players either, the starter guns are just fine.
