All those other users aren't collecting and using this information as EVIDENCE in court of law. Which is what most "investigator" legislation is about. I hope SafeNet/MediaSentry/RIAA gets nailed to the wall with really large, rusty spikes on this one.

A reasonably competent 21 years (with many "duh" moments that I hope I learned a lot from) in IT systems infrastructure administration, planning and design for several fortune 500 companies around the world. Semi-retired for the last 5 years, looking at second career in education and programming. Very cynical outlook on corporations derived from close look (in the last 8 or so years of career, after I put my ethics in a jar in the closet) at exactly how large corporations operate, and who actually benefits from seemingly insane decisions.
