Koo is the one that should be actually considered as alternate to Twitter, because it's a copycat of Twitter. It's a micro blogging site based in India. https://www.kooapp.com/ Nigeria has banned Twitter and the alternative they chose was Koo. Mastodon is totally a different game.

From now on people from under developed and developing countries (Africa, India etc) will be the targets mostly to avoid the legal barriers.
